The EATA Executive Board is busy planning for the Annual Meeting which will be held January 4-7, 2013. We are happy to be back in Buffalo, NY for the 65th edition of the EATA legacy. The last time we were in Buffalo was 1998.
After our record breaking attendance numbers in Boston in 2012, the Executive Board is looking to produce another quality educational and social experience for our members. We are hoping to attract our regular attendees and others from the western portions of New York and Pennsylvania. We will also be reaching out to Ohio and District 4 and our international colleagues in Canada, both as attendees and presenters.
A few facts to consider about Buffalo and next year’s convention. The Hyatt Hotel will be our home and the room rate is $119/night. Parking rate at the hotel is only $8/day. There are 30 restaurants within comfortable walking distance of the hotel. Buffalo has always had a reputation for being a city that knows how to party. With a number of distinct nightlife districts spread across town, you'll never be far from a wealth of watering holes and a whole night to find them, with last call at 4 a.m. The airport is only 15 minutes from the hotel and the downtown area. Shuttle service from the airport is available for about $30 round trip and special deals may be available. Interesting tidbit: 50% of the population of the US is within 500 miles of Buffalo and 65% of the Canadian population is as well.
